In Boca Raton, two auto accidents occurred on I-95 during Wednesday morning. Police say that a Broward County Sheriff Deputy was involved in one of the auto accidents and that lanes had to be closed for several hours at i-95 and Congress Avenue.
At this time, the Florida Highway Patrol has said that the deputy is fine. He was driving in an unmarked car when the two-car accident occurred at 1:30 AM. The FHP says that the accident involved a rollover and caused one vehicle to catch on fire while the other crashed into an overpass wall.
One person had to be transported to Delray Medical Center for treatment. No updates have been released on the person's condition and police are still conducting investigations.
