News sources are saying that Michael Jackson's mother, Katherine Jackson, has filed a wrongful death claim against the promoters of her son's London concerts. In her claim, she accuses the promoters of negligence and says they share responsibility for the King of Pop's death.
Mrs. Jackson accuses AEG Live group of breach of contract, fraud, negligence and putting profits ahead of her son's health and safety. Her lawsuit was filed in Los Angeles and she is also seeking damages on behalf of Michael Jackson's children who she has primary custody of.
According to Mrs. Jackson, AEG did not give appropriate care to Michael during rehearsals, failed to provide life-saving medical equipment and was also responsible for the actions of Dr. Conrad Murray, who is on trial for involuntary manslaughter.
Michael Jackson passed away after he was injected with numerous sedatives and painkillers, including propofol, which he had been taking regularly to help him sleep.
