Tragedy struck in Lauderdale last week when a teenager lost his life in a motorcycle accident.
According to family and friends, Nicholas Fullerton loved riding his 2009 Yamaha cycle when he wasn't working at the Lauderdale Yacht Club. Police reports show that Fullerton was riding his bike back home from work when he lost control of the Yamaha, steering it straight into a concrete wall. He was then thrown from his bike over the wall and onto a grassy shoulder nearly 20 feet away.
Although they are still investigating the accident, the Florida Highway Patrol doesn't believe that another vehicle was involved in this accident.
Friends and family spoke with the press about their loss, saying that Fullerton had planned on joining the Navy. He had just graduated from South Plantation High School and was working as a server until then.
