A serious accident in Washington took the life of one motorist but led to the birth of another in the traffic backup that resulted.
According to the local police department, the accident was called in around 5:30 AM and police quickly learned that a dirt bike collided with a tractor trailer at an intersection. The bike rider died at the scene while another motorist was seriously injured.
As a result of the motorcycle accident, traffic was backed up for nearly three hours. One woman realized that she was going into labor and called an ambulance, but she gave birth to her child before the ambulance could reach her. The 911 operator coached the woman through the labor and birth process.
