After completing their investigation of a fatality, the Florida Fish & Wildlife Conservation Commission deemed a January incident to be a boat accident.
Last January Robert Romanelli, 67, was on a boat in the Delray Harbor Marina when it caught on fire, ultimately killing Romanelli and injuring his two passengers. The other two victims, his cousin and brother, were brought to the Delray Medical Center with second-degree burns. At the time of the fire, the survivors were on the second deck while Romanelli was in the engine compartment.
It took investigators a whole day to locate Romanelli's body amidst the burnt wreckage.
