Friends and family of two Immokalee teenagers are still wondering what exactly went wrong last weekend to cause the fatal car accident.
According to the Florida Highway Patrol, there were two vehicles carrying two 17 year olds and one 22 year old riding in the SUV at the time of the accident; who was riding in each vehicle has not yet been released. It appears as though one of the victims had just had an argument with her boyfriend, and he was attempting to chase her down the street.
In the middle of the chase, one of the drivers lost control of the vehicle, spun out and hit the other car in the rear. Police reports show that nobody was wearing their seatbelts during the car chase. Although alcohol has not totally been ruled out for all three, it is believed that one of the teens was under the influence at the time of the car accident.
