Authorities are still searching for Kiefer Holman, a freshman at HSU, who has been missing since a boating accident happened last weekend.
The teenager was in a canoe with two other teens when it capsized, tossing all three into the water. While the two other canoers were able to swim to shore Holman was left behind. Divers were dispatched to Lake Ray Hubbard who utilized a sonar device to locate the teen. However, high winds were blamed for their inability to locate him, as well as for causing the accident.
Friends and family stood by as divers and a helicopter overheard continued their search-and-rescue operation. The two teenagers who had been with Holman, Traci Cooper and Chris Dalrymple, returned to the lake to work with rescue personnel.
