A quarry worker suffered a serious burn injury when he received an electric shock on the job. According to reports of the incident, the man was driving a bucket truck when the boom of the truck came into contact with a power line. The power line sent a 4,160 volt shock through the truck and the man.
Emergency workers responded to the incident and the driver of the truck was sent to a local hospital. He was later transferred to a burn center in another city.
A federal agency is currently investigating the accident to determine whether negligence or willful misconduct were at play in this terrible accident. It was not immediately known what the extent of the man's burn injuries were.
